Terms of Service
Last updated: June 30, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the MYCV website, applications, and services (the “Service”), operated by MYCV (“MYCV”, “we”, “us”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. By using MYCV you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
2. The Service
MYCV provides AI-assisted tools to analyze, rewrite, format, tailor, and share CVs and related job-search materials. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
3. Your account
Some features require an account, which you may create with an email and password or via Google. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
4. Your content and licence
You retain all ownership of the CVs, documents, and information you submit (“Your Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, transmit, and adapt Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service and to deliver the outputs you request.
You represent that you own or have the rights to Your Content, that it is accurate, and that its processing does not violate any law or third-party rights. Do not upload other people's personal data without a lawful basis to do so.
5. AI-generated output
MYCV uses third-party AI models to generate output. AI output can contain inaccuracies, omissions, or placeholder text and must be reviewed and verified by you before use. You are solely responsible for the final content of any CV you send, publish, or submit.
No outcome guarantee. We do not guarantee any particular result, including interviews, job offers, or applicant-tracking-system performance. The Service is a tool, not a recruitment or employment service.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful purposes;
- submit content that infringes others' rights or contains malware;
- upload another person's personal data without their consent or a lawful basis;
- scrape, reverse-engineer, resell, or attempt to circumvent limits, security, or access controls;
- use the Service to build a competing product or to train competing models.
7. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and access continues until then. Fees are stated at checkout and may change with notice for future periods.
Where you have a statutory right of withdrawal or cooling-off (for example under EU/UK consumer law) or guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, nothing in these Terms limits those rights. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider; we do not store full card details.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, templates, and branding, is owned by MYCV or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or other brand features. The CV documents you generate are yours to use.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties (for example, our AI provider, authentication provider, hosting, and payment processor). Your use of those features may be subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services.
10. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or consumer guarantees (including under the Australian Consumer Law); those rights are not excluded and apply to the extent they are mandatory.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MYCV and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or AUD $100. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including under mandatory consumer-protection laws.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold MYCV harmless from claims, damages, and costs arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by us.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, the licences you grant for content already processed survive only as needed to comply with law and to operate backups, and the sections that by their nature should survive will survive.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts. If you are a consumer, you may also have rights to bring proceedings in your country of residence, and mandatory local consumer-protection laws continue to apply.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email where appropriate. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
